Exploring the Interplay between Technology Addiction and Swimming Participation: Insights from Secondary and High School Students

The aim of the research is to analyze technological addiction middle and high school students in context swimming, by examining variables such as gender, level, attitudes towards participation swimming. study was carried out utilizing causal-comparative correlational methodologies. Study's target population comprises enrolled Medan during academic year 2022-2023. study's sample 268 students, with 126 females 146 males, who were selected from through convenience sampling. Technology Addiction Scale (TAS), Swimming Participation (SPS) Attitude Towards (STS) used data collection tool. Study employed independent samples t-test method examine potential differences technology addiction, swimming attitude, scores among based on regular sports variables. Pearson's moment product-moment correlation coefficient regression analysis methods associations students' dependence, attitudes, scores. According results, a significant difference found between regularly do those not. Moreover, there wasn't genders attitude higher levels observed compared domains instant messaging overall addiction. negative relationships emphasize function protective factor against addictive behaviors
